Indulgence Has it been a year? Is it Dragon Boat Festival again?
Yesseree Bob.
Nothing like eating Indian food with friends in the morning (the Sunday
before the Festival) and then wandering Keelung and eating on the roof
of the tallest building there (32nd floor) to celebrate.
Noting, of course, that because of SARS, all dragon boat races were
canceled. After teaching Dragon Boat Curriculum for the past week, it was a letdown to miss the races, however it was nice to have
a dayoff to relax. I have been working hard toward getting my Kung Fu
black belt as well as teaching many classes for the past few months, AND trying to spend every moment I can with Sue. I've been very
busy.
The Indian food was pretty good, considering Taiwan is not an enclave for Indian culture.
Since a good samosa is hard
to find in Taipei, I made sure to savor every bite.

I've gotten to enjoy fruit tea here. Above is some orange tea we had in Keelung. The restaurant advertised "California Style Buffet." I don't really understand what that means but was very disappointed when the yummy Chicken Satay was replaced by Tater Tots and ketchup. I bought a new iBook and will be able to make all sorts of crazy updates to the site. Everything on the computer is in English with Chinese capabilities -- except for some reason, Microsoft word. All of the dialogs come up in Chinese script and are very difficult to understand. There's a way to switch it all to English for good, but I am far too entertained by deciphering the Chinese Characters. | ||||
